Connecticut restaurants will participate in a special CT Loves PR promotion Oct. 21 to 28, raising funds for Puerto Rico hurricane relief.
About 60 restaurants, food trucks and vendors throughout the state have signed on for the fundraiser. Participating locations will present special dishes or drinks inspired by Puerto Rico, and 100 percent of proceeds from these items will be donated to Unidos por Puerto Rico / United for Puerto Rico.

Sample dishes include arroz mamposteao with pork, quince and a spiced rum sauce by chef Luis Vasquez at Butchers & Bakers; a mojo-rubbed Puerto Rican style pork belly banh mi from Chief Brody’s, seafood mofongo at Max’s Oyster Bar, pernil tacos at Geronimo and coquito cocktails with coconut cream and rum at multiple locations.
