James E. Tisdale has joined the public accounting firm Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra, LLC. as a client relationship specialist in Boca Raton. Previously, Tisdale worked in the mergers and acquisition and real estate industry. He is the former chairman of the Charles E. Schmidt College of Science Advisory Board at Florida Atlantic University, as well as past chairman of the advisory board's legislative committee.


The Governing Board of the South Florida Regional Transportation Authority elected Miami-Dade County Commissioner Bruno Barreiro as chair and Broward County businessman James A. Cummings as vice chair.


Paul Vivona has joined J.M. Field Marketing in Fort Lauderdale as a video producer at JMF Studios.


Jeremy Hanlon has joined New York entrepreneur Lee Lipton as a partner at Benny's on the Beach, in Lake Worth. Chef Hanlon was most recently the international director of culinary and menu development for Carlson Restaurants.


Sonya Deros joined the recently rebranded Boca Chamber as program manager for its Golden Bell Education Foundation and Young Entrepreneurs Academy, YEA! Deros worked at The Hanover Inn Dartmouth, in Hanover, N.H., as a sales and events manager before relocating to South Florida, where she began her career with the Boca Chamber as a volunteer.

David B. Rosemberg, Miami partner of the law firm Broad and Cassel, was elected president of the Inter-American Chapter of the United States-Mexico Chamber of Commerce for a two-year term.

Community Redevelopment

Mark Blomeke was appointed by the Riviera Beach Community Redevelopment Agency as marina facilities operation manager, in Riviera Beach. Blomeke joins Riviera Beach from The Breakers Palm Beach, where he worked for 13 years as conference services manager and head of the audio-visual production department. 


Tamara Joy has joined The Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens as chief curator, in Delray Beach. Previously, Joy was executive director of the Brown County Art Guild, an organization established in 1927 that has since become one of the most important art colonies in the U.S. She also has worked with the Japan Society Gallery in New York City, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, and as curator of Asian and Middle East collections at the Museum of International Folk Art in Santa Fe, N.M.


Jeff King, an entrepreneur in the residential real estate and construction industries in Palm Beach Gardens, has joined board of directors of the Angel Forum of Florida, a nonprofit that facilitates interaction between angel investors and Florida entrepreneurs. The organization, formerly known as the Angel Investment Forum of Florida, was established in 2005.


Jacqueline Lovell-Santos was named catering director at the The Palm Beach County Convention Center. Other appointments include: Tom Carey as public safety manager; Lorena Williams as marketing manager; James Cordeiro as director of operations and Alexandra Mearman as event manager.

William Yahr was appointed hotel manager of The Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove, where he will lead and oversee the operation of the 115-room boutique hotel.

Real estate

Maritza Meza of Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate's luxury platform Previews International was appointed director of sales for the new ultra-luxury 22-unit waterfront condominium estates project, Privage Condominium Estates. In the past, Meza has been director of sales for Strada in Fort Lauderdale, Trump International Hotel & Tower in Fort Lauderdale and Da Vinci on The Ocean in Sunny Isles Beach.

Cammi Goldberg has joined Franklin Street Real Estate Services as director of leasing and landlord representation in its South Florida office in Fort Lauderdale. Goldberg has more than 15 years of experience in the shopping center industry, specializing in leasing space for property owners and previously was a commercial leasing manager for RAM Realty Services.


The Florida Atlantic University Alumni Association Board recently announced its 2014-15 executive committee. Former Vice Chair Benjamin Dickinson '04 is the board's new chair; Tiffany Weimar '07 is vice chair. Pablo Paez '03, '08 and Danielle Leitch '93 are treasurer and secretary, respectively. Dickinson is director of talent management for Cross Country Home Services in Sunrise. Also joining the board are Mark Kattoura '01, '03, Ph.D. '13, an adjunct professor in the School of Communication and Multimedia Studies at FAU, and Patricia Kneski '08, vice president of marketing for Kip Hunter Marketing in Fort Lauderdale.

Public relations, marketing

Elizabeth Senk-Moss was promoted to account supervisor and Nichole Teixeira has been promoted to account executive at Bitner Goodman, in Fort Lauderdale.

Natalie P. Mikolich, NPM | PR founder and sports publicist in Boca Raton, joined the Public Relations Society of America's entertainment and sports executive committee, helping practitioners develop public relations and management skills directly relevant to their industries.


Steven M. Kelton has been named director of construction for 321 North, a live, work, shop, play, stay destination now under development, by US Capital Holdings Group LLC. Kelton has managed construction for South Florida projects including Bayside Marketplace in Miami and Las Olas Riverfront in Fort Lauderdale.

Community, property management

Brian Street was named vice president for the Castle Group. He most recently was regional director for Southeast Florida.

Kevin M. Carroll has been promoted to chief executive officer of Lang Management Company, an independent affiliate of Lang Diversified Services in Boca Raton. Carroll has held many leadership positions during his 25-year employment with Lang to include president and chief financial officer/chief operating officer of Lang Management.


Katelyn Tolzien was promoted to vice president of major gifts and planned giving at the United Way of Broward County. Tolzien joined the organization in 2010 as a development officer, primarily responsible for coordinating and implementing workplace campaigns, increasing engagement within the community and fundraising to increase revenue. In 2012, she was named a senior development officer. Before joining the group, Tolzien was special events coordinator for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in Fort Lauderdale.


United HomeCare, a non-profit home and community-based care organization, announced that one of its nurses, Carlos Nuñez, LPN, is the recipient of the Home Care Association of Florida's 2014 Outstanding Professional Caregiver Award. He will be honored for his exceptional service and long-standing commitment to home care patients at a presentation at the Home Care Association of Florida's 25th Annual Conference and Trade Show in Orlando.

Robert Thomas, medical director of Coral Gables Executive Physicians, has been recognized as a Vitals Top 10 Doctor in the state. The recognition is based on collective patient ratings and reviews of their doctor.

Osmel Delgado was appointed chief operating officer for Cleveland Clinic Florida, responsible for planning and directing operations for the academic medical center, which includes a hospital and medical practices in Weston as well as practices in Parkland, West Palm Beach and Palm Beach Gardens.
