"All the holidays are important, but the High Holy Days are an opportunity for teshuva (Hebrew for repentance or return to right living). We can seek forgiveness from those we wronged. I use all year to prepare myself to change things I don't like. The easy ones you can change just before the High Holy Days. The harder ones you have all year to change. I was born just before the High Holy Days. So this time of year makes me feel strongly that I'm being reborn, rejuvenated."
