Earth-friendly bubbly

There's rarely a time when champagne isn't appropriate, either on its own or with a meal.

Pairing, schmaring -- we say, bring on the bubbles! While sparkling wines of all sorts are products of nature, this Pommery addition to its popular split-size line called POP is truly earth friendly.

Called POP Earth Champagne, the delightful brut-style nonvintage beverage is made from grapes grown using techniques that reduce waste and water and energy consumption.

Its chic green bottle uses lighter glass than conventional champagne bottles, and its label is made using water-soluble inks and recycled materials. $49-$55 (price may vary by region).
