Always dreamed of performing the national anthem in front of a cheering crowd?

You can make your pitch at the Hartford Yard Goats National Anthem Auditions on Saturday, Feb. 25, starting at 9 a.m. at the Spotlight Theatres in Hartford.

"We have 70 home games scheduled for this season, and we're looking for individuals to fill some of those slots," says Jeff Dooley, Hartford Yard Goats' director of media relations. "We had a good turnout for last year's auditions and we're expecting the same this year. It's a lot of fun."

Singers of all ages are welcome to try out but must register in advance by emailing Amanda Goldsmith at agoldsmith@yardgoatsbaseball.com.

The Yard Goats are scheduled to play their home opener against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats on April 13 at 7:05 p.m. at Dunkin' Donuts Park. For ticket information, call 860-246-4628.
