It just makes sense if you think about it.
Shaming someone, especially a child, into losing weight by calling them fat, isn't going to work. Besides it being unneccesarily hurtful, a new UCLA study shows, it's not an effective way to encourage change.
This article from the Huffington Post caught my attention, simply, because I couldn't agree more. It talks about how children learn to adopt healthy attitudes for nutrition by what they see. Mom and Dad eat a well balanced meal, their kids are more likely to. So, maybe, if we stop the dinner time battle to "eat your vegetables" and just make sure we do, they will too. One can only hope, right?
