Vacation is a whole new ballgame for us now.
In the last few years, we quickly became a family of four. My husband and I flew for the first time with our almost 3 year old daughter first when she was 6 months old. I had no idea what to expect, so, me, being the realist (my husband insists I'm a pessimist, but I just like to expect the worst and hope for the best) thought she'd cry the entire flight. I was pleasantly surprised when I was wrong and she did great! In fact, she did better than I did, I don't sleep beforehand and get nervous and antsy on the flight! I digress. Now, we have a trip coming up that will require a plane ride, a time change, and a baby who already doesn't sleep well. I'm trying not to be pessimistic about the actual traveling part (because we're both really looking forward to the actual vacation part), but thankfully, my husband was the first to say, "I'm dreading the trip because she's probably going to be a nightmare." Phew!, it wasn't me who had to burst his laid back, optimistic bubble!
But, we'll be sure to use these tips on "Baby's First Trip" to help us through it.
