Unplug and Connect This Summer

Unplug and Connect This Summer (Mount Snow / May 23, 2014)

Life has been moving at breakneck speed lately...making me feel tired, stressed, distracted...not exactly on my A-game when it comes to patience in parenting.  That's why I am drawn to this summer program aimed at slowing families down to reconnect and unplug during vacation.

Mount Snow in Vermont is launching it's first-ever Family Camp, providing folks with an opportunity to explore the outdoors in a relaxed way that promotes bonding.

And, guess what?

Electronic devices are not invited.

From a press release:

“The goal of the Family Camp is to have families take a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoy each other’s company in one of the Nation’s most beautiful places,” said Family Camp Director, Mike Mitton.  “We plan to take the worry out of everything and offer a fun, educational and interactive experience.  Families can choose to be as adventurous or as low-key as they want.”

From late June through early August, families can book 3, 4 or 7 day customizable trips.  Volleyball, archery, hiking, biking, golf, fishing, boating and swimming are on the agenda!
