This National Historic Landmark house is an elaborate 19-room 1874 Victorian mansion with interiors designed by Louis Comfort Tiffany and the Associated Artists of New York. Twain lived, worked and raised his family in this house from 1874-1891.

Groups: Discounts are available for groups of 10 or more booked 14 days in advance. For information, call 860-280-3152.

Hours: Daily 9:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., last tour leaves at 4:30 p.m. Thursdays 9:30 a.m.- 8 p.m., last tour leaves at 7:15 p.m. Visitors should allow minimum of 2 hours for tour and Museum Center. The Mark Twain House & Museum is closed January 1, July 4, Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving, and December 24 and 25. Closed Tuesdays January - March.
