Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo has a history of over 80 years as Connecticut's only zoo. As an accredited member of the American Zoo and Aquarium Association (AZA) and participant in its Species Survival Plan (SSP), the zoo is committed to the preservation of endangered animals and is actively developing strategies that will protect species and preserve their wild habitats. Through education, conservation, research and recreation, Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo provides a wild experience for Connecticut's students and families.
Hours: Open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. every day except Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day. The New World Tropics Building is open from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily. The Carousel Building is open seasonally from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
