It’s Night 16 and Bikal has voted out Matt. Julia has PTSD symptoms and says she almost peed herself. Michael is playing it cool. He tells the favorites that he understands their play. His strategy is to build trust and friendships with Corinne. Corinne even mentions that she is willing to dump Phillip in hopes for Michael. She loves her gays. But the thing is Phillip has noticed those two off together quite a bit. He is threatened by it and wants it to stop.
Phillip rushes over to Cochran to tell him that he wants Corinne gone next! Cochran tries to calm him down and convince him not to do it. They need the other favorites to work with them when they merge. If the Bikal faves start attacking their own then the others won’t trust them at all and it would be an anyone’s game.
Dawn reads tree mail and it mentions being strong. The tribe’s moral is now low. They know they lost this one. Phillip says if it has to do with using the upper body, lower back or shoulders, he is certain he can win it. Yeah, that still doesn’t’ convince the tribe. Phillip even tries to boost himself up with an arm wrestling match with Cochran. So he picks the person with the least muscle mass to go head to head. Yikes, is Bikal destined to be doomed?
Each tribe wears a belt that is clipped to one another. Carrying a 20 pound bag, contestants have to catch up to the other team going around an oval course. Brenda sits out. Maybe it has to do with her mysterious bummed knee we saw 2 episode ago?
Both teams are off and Bikal walks. Yes, walks not even jogs. Why? Because Phillip says so. He is in the front and is in charge, according to him. The group continually asks if they can run but he responds with –Nope!. Right when Gota approaches Bikal, Dawn, Cochran and Julia drop out giving Corinne all of their bags. That is 60 pounds of extra sand she is carrying while Phillip is huffing and puffing over 20.
You figured it out; Gota won!
Their reward sent them to a coffee shop tiki. The tribe filed up on pastries, muffins, and different desserts. The group morale is so high that people are kissing each other on the cheeks. Malcolm is the worst offender of this. He says he looooves everyone on the tribe.
Malcolm tells us, viewers, that he keeps a smile on but is thinking hard about building relationships. He sees that there are 4 physical threats and when it comes to the merge, those four will be targeted.
Malcolm shares his plan with Reynold of having them plus Eddie and Erik team up. He wants to build a super alliance. No one could have predicting what would come out of Reynold’s mouth next. He told Malcolm of his idol! He broke golden rule of Survivor. BUT… it did pay off for him. Malcolm now trusts Reynold.
