Brenda’s plan worked! Andrea’s blindside turned into her own death in the game. The table has turned on queen of the island and the game has changed.
Day 35 on Enil Edam, Eddie feels like a sitting duck target for the next tribal council. He talks with Cochran and gives him a heads up that he might be the target if Eddie wins immunity. It seems that Cochran’s name is floating around lately. Brenda suggested his name to Dawn while strategizing in the water. They all see he is a big threat to win in the end.
Today is Erik’s 70th day to play Survivor. It is one of his hardest days. The weather and the game are wearing on him. He feels trapped, like in a prison. He stares at a tree with coconuts. They mock him; he wants them. Erik tries to climb the tree to get the coconuts. If he falls then he goes home and it’s not so bad because he leaves the game honorably. But, he doesn’t want to go out that way. Anyways, he didn’t get any coconuts.
Eddie holds a box with the sprint logo and Dawn begins to vry before they open it. The tribe looks at small video messages from their family. We have Brenda’s dad, Cochran’s mom, Erik’s brother, Eddie’s dad, Sherri’s and Dawn’s husband on the island.
The loved ones embrace and tears are shed. Brenda thanked her dad for telling her to be humble. She has gotten so far in life and in the game for being humble. Remember last time she played the tribe called her the queen and she was overthrown. Probst even had a tear for Brenda’s embrace, a first in 26 seasons.
Now for the challenge, teams will spin around 3 rails to unwind them. They will toss 3 bolos around the rail. The first to connect 3 win a reward that includes a floating backyard barbecue.
Brenda and Erik are the front runners in this competition. The rest are not too far away. Cochran and his mom are a little slow and Jeff points it out. Cochran defends his mom by replying her age. She is turning 64 soon, aww he is so sweet.
Erik’s team is the first to assemble the rails to throw the bolos. They have one bolo on the rail. Brenda scored one as well. Sherri and Dawn’s team catch up and throw. It is now between Dawn and Brenda. Brenda’s dad threw the winning bolo to win the reward. Brenda has a choice to pick a person to join the reward. She chooses Dawn.
Probst tells her about another twist. There is another loved one on the beach for the castaways. The twist is, Brenda has to choose between spending time with her loved one and Dawns’ or letting the remaining tribemates spend time with their two loved ones. No one wins at this choice.
