After a seven-second teaser went viral earlier Sunday, ABC aired the first full-length trailer during Sunday's season finale of "Once Upon a Time." One of the fall's most buzz-worthy shows, "S.H.I.E.L.D." stars Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson, reprising his role from "The Avengers." Obviously a prequel, the series has Coulson assembling a team of agents from the international law-enforcement organization known as S.H.I.E.L.D. According to the show's web site, the team investigates "the cases that haven’t been classified yet--the new, the strange and the unknown."
"Avengers" guru Joss Whedon co-write the "S.H.I.E.L.D." pilot with his brother Jed Whedon and Jed's wife, Maurissa Tancharoen. Joss Whedon directed the pilot and serves as exec producer with his brother, Tancharoen, Jeffrey Bell and Marvel TV's Jeph Loeb.
ABC also launched WeAreTheRisingTide.com, a site featuring info and videos related to the series, the Avengers and the larger Marvel universe. The site is set up as if it belongs to a conspiracy theory group named "The Rising Tide" that wants to out the secret agency S.H.I.E.L.D.
What do you think of the trailer for "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."? Will you be watching?
