Chicago's O'Connor Casting Company is holding an open call on Friday, December 16 for all Norwegian-Americans interested in applying for Season 3 of Norway's #1 Reality TV show "Alt for Norge" (aka "The Great Norway Adventure").
55% of Norwegian-Americans live in the Midwest and the auditions are open to all adventurous Americans with Norwegian ancestry (even a little bit counts) who are age 18+, a U.S. citizen and have never traveled to Norway.
The series follows 12 Norwegian-Americans who fly to Norway and immerse themselves in the culture and compete in a series of extreme challenges that test their skills, courage and determination. The winner receives a CASH prize of $50,000.00 and will meet Norwegian relatives they don't even know exist. Season 2 cast members were in Norway for 2 weeks before the first elimination and each received their Norwegian relatives contact information.
"It's a fun-spirited, feel good show that takes participants on an adventure of a lifetime. The Cast slept in ice caves, raced dog sleds and met distant relatives," says David O'Connor, Director of Casting. "This is one of the most positive casting experiences for a reality show that we've ever been involved with. They have so much fun. We want all types of people - cops, firefighters, business owners, couples, friends, parents & kids... jjust a little bit of Norwegian in their family tree and it's enough for them to be qualified."
O'Connor is hoping to send more Midwesterners to Norway. Season One fan favorite and runner up, Chicagoan Maia Surace, had the time of her life and encourages everyone to apply. Anyone interested should fill out the application and bring it to the Open Call. You can download the application at www.oconnorcasting.tv
