Season 10 winner: Scotty McCreery
Scotty McCreery took home the Idol win in 2011 and he's tried to get the most out of his newfound fame. The country crooner hit the road with his fellow contestants before releasing "Clear As Day" in October. The album was an instant hit, going to No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Despite his early success, McCreery isn't banking solely on his music career. For now, he's finishing up high school and filling out college applications. "College is important to me. Education is important to me. You never know how far your job can take you," McCreery, who plans to study marketing or communications, told the Columbus Dispatch.

I don't understand. Why did he sign up for American Idol if he's more focused on his Education? Once you're the winner and a Superstar, you are sacrificing your life to FAME and music career. Also, be content and dedicated. He's leaving all his fans behind, and going forward with his education. Such a waste of his FAME! His music career shoudn't be an option, it's a requirement.
