TVEye: 'Dancing with the Stars' Finale, 'So You Think You Can Dance'
Donny Osmond has a career-long fan base but the lowest judges' scores recently. Mya's star as a recording artist has faded a little, but she's way ahead on judges' scoreboards. And Kelly Osbourne is just cute. One of the three will take home the meaningless mirror ball trophy in tonight's finale of "Dancing with the Stars" ( ABC, 9 p.m.).
It's an important night for the competitors on "So You Think You Can Dance" (Fox, 8 p.m.) as well. Those making the cut to the Top 10 Wednesday will be able to tour with the troupe when the season is over.
The first-rate "Objectified," on "Independent Lens" (WGBY, 10 p.m.; CPTV, 11 p.m.), looks at the work of modern product designers who bring fresh eyes to objects ranging from toothbrushes to chairs.
It follows a surprisingly out-of-time " Frontline" (CPTV, 9 p.m.), returning to covering the credit-card industry and the charges they arbitrarily assess. It was completed before Congress put an end to overdraft fees on debit cards.
Traveling musicians not only pick up new fans on the road, they find good places to eat. They share some of their knowledge on the new series "Dinner with the Band" (IFC, 11 p.m.), hoping to bring indie youth into the TV food world. The first band up is Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings.
"Holly and Hal Moose: Our Uplifting Christmas Adventure" (ABC Family, 7 p.m.) is an animated special featuring characters from the sponsoring Build-A-Bear Workshop.
Another ordeal for those on "The Biggest Loser" ( NBC, 8 p.m.): enduring a Suze Orman lecture.
