Veteran meteorologist Geoff Fox has joined the Fox CT weather team, the station announced Thursday.

Fox, with more than 26 years of experience forecasting weather in Connecticut, will begin on Fox CT Monday, April 18th.

His role will expand beyond weather forecasting, as he will deliver science and technology reports for the 4 p.m. newscast. Fox will forecast the weather during the 11 p.m. news. Meteorologist Rachel Frank will continue reporting the weather during the 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. newscasts.

“Weather is key to our viewers, with the addition of Geoff Fox we can continue to serve our audience in a greater capacity with the state,” Fox CT news director Coleen Marren said in a release Thursday.

In the release Fox added, “It’s great to be part of an organization that believes in expansion and leading the market in news. I look forward to bringing the viewers of Connecticut the weather forecast again each day.”

Fox began his broadcasting career in radio transitioning into television, forecasting in Buffalo, New York. Most recently Fox was a meteorologist at WTNH-TV in New Haven, an ABC affiliate.
