Auction funds to help local artists

The Sawdust Art Festival will hold the Artists' Benevolence Fund art auction from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday on the main entertainment deck.

Sawdust exhibitors have donated their art for the auction, and the money raised will go toward helping working artists in Laguna who are experiencing financial difficulties because of illness or a natural disaster.

After the December floods, the Artists' Benevolence Fund gave out more than $30,000 to suffering artists.
