Toronto Mayor Rob Ford stripped of his powers

Toronto's City Council stripped Mayor Rob Ford of most of his powers in November after the beleaguered politician admitted to smoking crack cocaine, buying illegal drugs and driving after drinking alcohol. Ford rebuked the decision, saying, "If council wants to strip all my powers, do whatever they want to do. I disagree with it, but you know what? They have their rights. I think it's wrong. I think it's illegal."
