The kid attractor factor: Chloe Grace Moretz and Jamie Blackley ina seemingly doomed teen romance.

Good lessons/bad lessons: "Sometimes you make choices in life, and sometimes choices make you." "Sacrifice that's what we do for the people we love."

Violence: A car wreck.

Language: A couple of profanities, here and there.

Sex: Suggested.

Drugs: Musicians, music club scenes.

Parents' advisory: Love, college, the future; choices facing older teens float through this morbid romance OK for 12-and-up.


Rating: PG-13 for violence including intense sustained gun battles and fight scenes, and for language

What it's about: Aged mercenaries set out to save each other and settle old scores.

The kid attractor factor: The old guys, plus Ronda Rousey, Kellan Lutz and Antonio Banderas, mete out the mayhem.

Good lessons/bad lessons: "You're only old if you surrender!"

Violence: Lots and lots for a PG-13 movie.

Language: Profanity, here and there.

Sex: None.

Drugs: Cigars, beers, nothing stronger.

Parents' advisory: Toned down from the R-rated prequels, this is still awfully violent, with the violence having few consequences. Take the PG-13 seriously.
