The music awards show, which gave multiple honors to Kendrick Lamar and Drake, was the most tweeted-about telecast for the week that ended Sunday. The show had a unique Twitter audience of 6.88 million — meaning that's the number of people who viewed the tweets — and generated 2.55 million mentions.
"Walking Dead," about humans trying to survive in a zombie wasteland, came in second with an audience of 5.65 million users for 528,300 tweets. The show is also a ratings juggernaut for AMC. Sunday night's episode drew more than 13 million total viewers, while last week's fourth season debut drew a record audience of 16.1 million.
FX's anthology of fright, "American Horror Story: Coven," was the next runner-up in the Twitter rankings with a reach of 3.12 million users and 184.4 million tweets.
