Disney's "Frozen" shows no signs of slowdown with a new big screen short, "Frozen Forever," coming this spring and a new Disney World theme park attraction under construction at EPCOT World Showcase. In addition to Elsa and Anna being in the "Disney Infinity" game, they've brought the entire gang over to Sony's "LittleBigPlanet 3" on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. While the "Disney Infinity" game keeps the characters intact, the downloadable content (DLC) for "LittleBigPlanet 3" includes burlap Sackboy (and girl) versions of characters like Elsa, Anna, Kristoff and Olaf. This costume DLC costs $6, but there's a free Winter Creator Kit available to make any game level a "Frozen" delight.
"With these brand new costumes for Sackboy, OddSock and Toggle; you will be able to have your very own adventures with the wonderful cast of 'Frozen' this winter," said Steven Isbell, "LittleBigPlanet" Community Coordinator. "We have no doubt that all of you 'Frozen' fans will be crafting plenty of wintery levels that would make Elsa herself proud of their chilly creativity."
Developed by Sumo Digital and Sony XDevEurope, "LittleBigPlanet 3" features the franchise's popular burlap mascot, Sackboy, along with three brand new characters in an all-new handcrafted adventure to revolutionize the way players Play, Create and Share.
The PS4 version of the game takes full advantage of the system's processing power to deliver new environments and worlds with enhanced depth of field, richer and more detailed patchwork building materials and graphics in stunning full 1080p. New PS4 system features such as the DUALSHOCK 4 Touchpad make the design experience even more user friendly and accessible for novice creators.
Isbell said the game pushes the limits of creativity even further with the most comprehensive Create toolset to date, allowing players to now make limitless levels with their very own game worlds and full-scale adventures.
"Anyone can become a video game designer with create-in-play tutorials that teach new users the accessibility of the expanding tool set," said Isbell.
The community has already made more than 9 million User Generated Levels, which provide an easy way to jump in on the fun. Sharing is built into the DNA of LBP, and the PS4 system gives the community an easy way to not only share their creations with everyone with just the press of the Share button but also add their own personal touch on how they share with the easy to use video editing application, ShareFactory.
The broader gaming community can also interact with LBP3 in brand new ways on the PS4 system with the interactive livestreaming tool. Level creators can now set special events in their levels which livestream viewers can then interact with and trigger through the chat window on the PS4 system or a web browser.
