LARRY HAGMAN'S J.R. EWING TO RECEIVE A TEXAS-SIZED FAREWELL ON "DALLAS:" The Nov. 23 passing of Larry Hagman, "Dallas'" iconic villain, J.R. Ewing, has led to a revamping of scripts for the revived show's second season. Hagman had completed six of the series' 15 episodes, and in order to give J.R. a proper sendoff there will likely be a hiatus in filming while a suitable farewell episode is created and the ongoing storylines are adjusted. Linda Gray, who plays Sue Ellen, described Larry Hagman as "my best friend for 35 years," and she was among the close friends and family at his bedside when he lost his battle with cancer.
Despite its concept showing great promise, "666 Park Avenue" has been canceled. However, the four remaining episodes of the 13 commissioned for the series will still be aired in its Sunday timeslot.
