Thanksgiving is upon us once again. We had the entire year to prepare after getting inspired during last year’s feast, and yet somehow time always seems to get away. If the thought of scrambling to assemble a last-minute Thanksgiving dinner seems too overwhelming, Inspired Turkey in New Haven can help you pull it together.

Inspired Turkey offers pressure-fried turkeys (whole or quarter), and all the fixins to complete any Thanksgiving dinner. The turkeys are pressure-fried in peanut oil, which is said to be safe for peanut-allergy sufferers in that the allergy triggers are removed during the refining process. However, we are not doctors, and Inspired Turkey does recommend peanut-allergy sufferers talk to their doctors before eating food made with peanut oil.

Turkeys are available to order for Thanksgiving, alone or as part of a package dinner that’ll leave your guests asking how you got it all done in time. Order a turkey during Thanksgiving week for $55, or $65 on Thanksgiving Day. A family meal for four to six people, with a turkey quarter or whole chicken, 32-ounce mashed potato or macaroni and cheese, 32-ounce mixed vegetables, four pieces of corn bread, four ounces of gravy and four cans of soda will only run you $60 this Thanksgiving. Feed eight to 10 people (half turkey or two whole chickens, 32-ounce mashed potato, 32 ounce macaroni and cheese, 32-ounce mixed vegetable, eight pieces of corn bread, two four-ounce tubs of gravy and eight cans of soda) for $90, or stuff the whole family (10-12 pound turkey or four whole chickens, 32-ounce mashed potato, macaroni and cheese, mixed vegetables and string beans, 14 pieces of corn bread, 32-ounce gravy and 14 cans of soda, for 14-16 people) for only $150. If you want to order dinner for your family, place your online orders by the afternoon of Sun., Nov. 24 to allow for shipping. Local orders can be placed by phone through Mon., Nov. 25: (203) 800-5735.

Or you can skip the clean-up entirely and head down to Inspired Turkey on Nov. 28 between 4-8 p.m. and dine in-house. Just make sure to give them a call earlier in the week to reserve a space for you. Already locked into your Thanksgiving plans? Visit Inspired Turkey during their regular hours, Mon.-Fri., 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and 5-8 p.m.; Sat., 5-8 p.m.
