>>San Diego-based chain Hash House A Go Go is slated to open in Mohegan Sun's Casino of the Earth in mid-December, according to casino representatives. The restaurant describes its menu as "twisted farm food," with a menu of traditional diner fare with "offbeat, over-the-top presentations."
Breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner will be offered, with plates like sage fried chicken and waffles, pork tenderloin Benedict, egg dishes, pancakes in several varieties and flavors, one-pound stuffed burgers, a griddled meatloaf sandwich, risotto-stuffed roasted butternut squash and chicken pot pie. >>The former Reuben's Deli in West Hartford center is now Thirty 5 Bar & Grille, taking its name from its address at 35 Lasalle Road. The new spot has full-service breakfast, lunch and dinner menus, along with a full liquor license and more than a dozen draft beers.
Weekly specials include a Sunday "endless mimosa brunch" for two, priced at $35 with a choice of entrees and sides. Wines are half-price on Sunday evenings. On Mondays after 5 p.m., enjoy a $35 prix-fixe dinner for two. Happy hour features $3 Connecticut draft beers, half-priced well drinks and half-priced house wines.
