But Vinted has retained the WineStation technology Uncorked was known for, which preserves and dispenses wines by the 1-ounce, 3-ounce or 6-ounce pour. Vinted will serve about 68 wines by the glass, specially paired with a menu of appetizers and small plates.
The new West Hartford spot is owned and operated by Western Massachusetts restaurateurs Ralph Santianello and Michael Presnal, of The Federal in Agawam. And those familiar with The Federal's creative fare will recognize the eatery's signature risotto balls on Vinted's menu, served with truffle butter.
Other menu offerings are organized by category: "cold" plates of steak tartare, sea scallops crudo, tuna carpaccio, oysters on the half shell; meats and cheeses and "hot" tapas like seared salmon belly, confit chicken wings with Jamaican vinaigrette and a "McMuffin" of seared foie gras, caramelized onions, Sottocenere and short rib. Vinted also brings some of The Federal's dessert flair to West Hartford, like baked hot chocolate "purses" and mini passion fruit ice cream cones.
Vinted will also serve craft beers, house-infused spirits and classic cocktails.
Vinted is at 63 Memorial Road in West Hartford. It's open Monday through Wednesday, 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., Thursday, 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Friday and Saturday, 4 p.m. to midnight. 860-206-4648, www.vintedwinebar.com, www.facebook.com/VintedWineBar.
