The former Reuben's Deli in West Hartford center is now Thirty 5 Bar & Grille, taking its name from its address at 35 Lasalle Road.
The new spot has a full-service menu, along with a full liquor license and more than a dozen draft beers. Breakfast is served until 3 p.m., with omelets, pancakes, challah French toast and bagels. Lunch includes many of the oversized sandwiches Reuben's became known for, like the corned beef and chopped liver. (Boxed lunches, with sandwich, drink, chips and half sour pickle, are $8 and available until 5 p.m.)
Dinner features a variety of options, with starters like steak and cheese eggrolls, kung pao shrimp and beef, pretzel-crusted smoked salmon, quesadillas, salads and matzo ball soup. Entrees include chicken rollatini with pastrami; fresh seafood dishes; steak frites; buttermilk fried chicken and lo mein with 10 vegetables and your choice of protein, with a weekly fresh pasta special.
Sunday brings a $35 "endless mimosa brunch" for two, with a choice of entrees and sides; as well as a half-price wine special in the evenings. On Mondays after 5 p.m., enjoy a $35 prix-fixe dinner for two. Happy hour features $3 Connecticut draft beers, half-priced well drinks and half-priced house wines.
