Lunar New Year Specials at Char Koon, Forbidden City Bistro

To celebrate Year of the Snake, Char Koon in South Glastonbury and Forbidden City Bistro in Middletown offer special menus Feb. 7 through 17.

At Forbidden City, dishes include seafood dumpling with seafood reduction ($12,) chow kuei (pan-fried rice cake with egg and bean sprout, $8,) wok-seared Maine lobster with caramelized ginger and scallion ($36,) and "longevity noodle" with sauteed forest mushrooms, Cantonese noodles and bok choy ($17.)
