If you're traveling this weekend and getting your card stamped for the Litchfield Hills Winter Wine Trail, stop by Haight-Brown Vineyard and check out its new cafe offerings.
Haight-Brown will serve light fare from noon to 5 p.m., with salads, sandwiches and soups. A recent menu featured arugula salad with caramelized goat cheese; chicken stew; assorted panini and crepes with vanilla creme and strawberry sauce.
The vineyard has traditionally sold cheese plates and chocolates for wine pairing, but decided to offer heartier options for guests since outside food is not allowed for consumption inside the building, owner Amy Senew explained in an email.
