Dishcrawl, a startup business hosting walking culinary tours, plans its inaugural event in New Haven Feb. 27 at 7 p.m. The dinnertime tour stops at four restaurants in the Ninth Square district.
There's one catch: The participating restaurants remain a secret until 48 hours before the event, though Dishcrawl's Twitter feed (@DishcrawlNHaven) will offer some clues along the way.
Dishcrawl's self-described mission is "provide you with a premier culinary social experience by bringing together neighborhood restaurants, local chefs, regional food producers and fellow food enthusiasts." The company has hosted events in Chicago, San Diego, Austin, San Francisco, Washington D.C., Montreal and Scottsdale in recent weeks.
