Overlapping with American Craft Beer Week (May 13-19,) Connecticut celebrates its own robust and growing beer industry with a weeklong celebration of Nutmeg State brews. Connecticut Beer Week features a full schedule of tap takeovers, festivals, dinners, meet-and-greets and tastings.
The kickoff began May 11 with the third annual Rising Pint Brewfest, featuring more than 60 breweries, food from Connecticut restaurants and live music. On May 16, J. Timothy's hosts a "Meet the Brewers" event on at 7 p.m., welcoming the minds behind Back East Brewery of Bloomfield and Relic Brewing of Plainville. The meet-and-greet features beer samples from both breweries, food (including the restaurant's famed chicken wings.) Tickets are $25, inclusive of tax and gratuity.
These special events are part of more than 40 additional happenings around the state. Check out CT Beer Week's full lineup here.
