Trumbull Kitchen Adds Second Brooklyn Brewery Tasting

UPDATED: Trumbull Kitchen has added a second date for this tasting, on Dec. 19 at 5:30 p.m., with the same menu and beers. Dec. 12's event has sold out.

The events will feature Brooklyn Brewery's Brewmaster Reserve, "There Will Be Black," an American Black Ale that makes its debut in Connecticut at the Hartford restaurant Dec. 12.


Trumbull Kitchen, 150 Trumbull St., Hartford, hosts a Brooklyn Brewery beer and small plates tasting Dec. 12 at 5:30 p.m. Five beers are paired with five hors d'ouevres by executive chef Chris Torla.

The guided tasting menu features:

Crispy Thai brussels with sweet chili sauce, mint, Thai bird chiles (Brooklyn Blast!)

Guajillo-braised Short rib taquito with chipotle cre¿me fraiche, lime, cilantro (Brooklyn Lager)

Atlantic Salmon Crudo with olive oil emulsion, citrus zest, scallion bulbs   (Fiat Lux)

Confit pork belly maki with star anise, cucumber, tare glaze (Sorachi Ace)

Sea salt & Valrhona chocolate, caramel popcorn puree, vanilla bean ice cream, Maldon sea salt (Black Chocolate Stout)
