Grants Restaurant in West Hartford hosts a special five-course beer dinner Feb. 28 at 6 p.m.
The menu:
Beet cured salmon with baby beets, creme fraiche, cara cara oranges and rye toast croutons (with Peroni Nastro Azzuro)
Sheep's milk ricotta and quail egg raviolo, with orange, fennel pollen, toasted hazelnut and grated biscotti (with St. Steffanus Blonde)
Honey and Nostradamus-spiced glazed duck breast with caramelized sweet potato, pickled shallot and apple and quince mustarda (with Crispin: Bird on a Wire)
IPA braised short ribs with goat cheese whipped potatoes, horseradish-marinated young carrots (with Henry Weinhard's Woodland Pass IPA)
Chocolate pudding with malted whipped creme, orange, apricot biscotti (with Leinenkugel's Big Eddy Russian Imperial Stout)
