Celebrate the French national holiday this Sunday, July 14, with authentic food and revelry.

At La Petite France, 967 Farmington Avenue, West Hartford, the French bakery marks the occasion with food, a wine tasting, music and an exhibition and demonstration by artist Shauna Shane. Cavey's, 45 East Center Street, Manchester, hosts a Bastille Day wine dinner at 6 p.m. with importer Alain Blanchon. The menu includes smoked salmon frivolite and foie gras lollipops; squash blossom with Maine peekytoe crab and corn veloute; roast veal loin zingara with ham, morels, truffle and tongue; grilled lamb rack and lamb shoulder a la provencal and apricot souffle glace.
