50 West, 50 West Main Street, Plainville, partners with its neighbor in town, Relic Brewing, for an Oct. 2 beer dinner. Three seatings are available, at 6 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. The menu includes six courses, paired with five Relic beers.
First Course: Moules frites (Prince Edward Island Mussels steamed in Madeline Belgian Blonde with white onions and celery, served over French fries) paired with Madeline
Second Course: Warm salad with grilled venison (wilted frisee and field greens, warm roasted shallot and sherry vinaigrette, warm goat cheese, sliced apples, toasted sunflower seeds, grilled marinated venison) paired with Fieldhand
Third Course: Beef Carbonnade with roasted vegetables braised in Duality Belgian Dubbel, charred baguette, paired with Duality Dubbel
Fourth Course: Grilled marinated whole quail stuffed with fines herbes, served with barley and red currant chutney, paired with Darkness Falls Dark Saison
Fifth Course: Butter-poached Monkfish Tail, grilled fresh fennel, roasted celery root puree paired with Thrice Belgian Tripel
Sixth Course: Trio of housemade chocolate truffles
