Chris Hemsworth is People’s sexiest man alive for 2014, Jimmy Kimmel revealed on Tuesday’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”
The “Thor” star thanked his parents, “for putting this together,” he said during a Skype call on the show, as he pointed at himself.
“I’m most excited about the ‘live’ part of that statement,” the Australian, 31, joked. “The sexy is a bonus.”
Kimmel had a trophy shaped like a mirror handed to Hemsworth. Hemsworth said his brother, Liam, was not upset that Chris was chosen over him and “has been a real team player.”
“We’ve been throwing sexy looks back and forth all week,” he said.
Hemsworth tells People in Friday’s issue that the honor should give him some “bragging rights around the house.”
“I can just say to her, ‘Now remember, this is what the people think, so I don’t need to do the dishes anymore, I don’t need to change nappies,” he says in the issue. “I’m above that. I’ve made it now.’ ”
He and his wife, Elsa Pataky, have three kids.
