CBS will add the new comedy “¡ROB!” to its Thursday night line-up at midseason, the network announced Monday.

But what’s with the strange punctuation, you ask? Rob Schneider stars as a lifelong bachelor who just married into a tight-knit Mexican-American family—and that’s how add an excitement to a TV show title in Spanish. (It’s not working, CBS. ¡I am not excited by this announcement!)

“¡ROB!” premieres Jan. 12 and also stars Cheech Marin, Claudia Bassols, Diana Maria Riva, Eugenio Derbez and Lupe Ontiveros.

“¡ROB!” fills the spot where the much-moved-but-unkillable “Rules of Engagement” resided. CBS says “Rules” will return later in the season.

The reality series “Undercover Boss” returns to Sundays for its third season beginning Jan. 15. “The Amazing Race” will be back for yet another season at some point, but the network did not give a date.
