Pictures: Art For The Open Heart Benefit

The city's arts community rallied around one of their own Sunday night. Tao LaBossiere has been a volunteer exhibit coordinator of ArtSpace Gallery at 555 Asylum Ave. in Hartford since 1997. Recently, LaBossiere was diagnosed as needing open-heart surgery, leaving him needing to raise about $42,000 to supplement his insurance. A week long exhibit titled "Art for the Open Heart" opened on Sunday, Feb.10, with a portion of the proceeds from sales of the artwork going to the Tao LaBossiere Open Heart Fund. Read story here.
