Pictures: 2010 ComiCONN Convention in New Haven
Comic book and sci fi fans from around Connecticut gathered at the first ever ComiCONN convention held Saturday, May 15 at the Holiday Inn in New Haven. Attendees, many dressed as their favorite cult characters, had the chance to meet comic book writers and artists, shop for comics and collectibles, and talk with fellow fans.
Fun fact of the day: Famous Funnies -- the 1930s publication that represents what pop culture historians consider to be the first true American comic book -- was published in Waterbury.
