This week at theme parks: Susan Lucci, expanded holiday happenings
'Tis the season for holiday blow-outs at Orlando's theme parks and attractions. Expect crowds. If you're going, pack your patience. (One lady I interviewed about Christmas crowds two year ago referred to one park as "a sea of humanity." You've been warned.

+ Celebrity narrators for the week at Epcot's Candlelight Processional are country singer Trace Adkins (Monday-Wednesday), actress Susan Lucci (Thursday-Saturday) and actor Blair Underwood (Dec. 25-Dec.27). (Note: The final reader of the year will be Marlee Matlin, Dec. 28-30.)

+ At Magic Kingdom, many of the Christmas festivities associated with its Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party are now incorporated into the park for regular guests. Included at various times are Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas Time parade and the "Holiday Wishes" firesworks. Check Disney World's website for times for these shows. (Go to and hover over "PARKS." Pick Magic Kingdom, then click on CALENDAR on the far left. This gives you a monthly look at park hours, so click on the day you want times for. That will give you the day's lineup.)

+ Continuing at Walt Disney World: The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights at Disney's Hollywood Studios and Mickey's Jingle Jungle Parade at Disney's Animal Kingdom.

+ Continuing all week is SeaWorld's Christmas Celebration, which features holiday programming generally after 5 p.m.

+ Continuing all week at Universal Orlando: The Macy's Holiday Parade daily at Universal Studios theme park and the "Grinchmas Wholiday Spectacular" at Islands of Adventure.

+ More holiday-related stuff elsewhere: Holiday Laser Light Shows at Orlando Science Center, Holidays in Space at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Center, Old Town Christmas at Old Town and ICE! at Gaylord Palms.

+ Continuing, but not holiday-related: "The Serious Art of Make-Believe," an Orange County Regional History Center exhibit featuring the work of the art and design team of Universal Orlando.
