There is a little wisp of Fall in the air, and the kick off of the Fall festival season starts with the 16th edition of the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, beginning next Friday, Sept. 30.
Earlier this month, the Orlando Sentinel had an exclusive, first-look preview of the menu items from the festival's executive chef and his team. With the theme "Passport to a World of Flavors," this year showcases the added Marketplaces from Hawaii, the Caribbean and Portugal. The Hawaii Marketplace got special attention during our color-filled photo shoot, with Kalua Pork Sliders, Tuna Poke with Seaweed Salad and Lotus Root Chips featured.
The festival, with more than 25 international marketplaces, serves tapas-sized portions and an extensive collection of beer and wine from around the world.
The 2011 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival runs from September 30 through November 13th.
