A hard-rock music festival headlined by a band with three consecutive No. 1 albums and featuring two other bands that headlined Bethlehem's Musikfest in recent years is coming to an area casino.

The 2014 Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival will hit Mount Airy Casino Resort's Sherman Summer Stage at 1 p.m. Aug. 23, it was announced.

The show will be headlined by Godsmack, whose last three albums – 2003's "Faceless," 2006's "IV" and 2010's "The Oracle" – all hit No. 1 and sold gold or platinum. The band has 20 Top 10 rock radio hits, including 15 songs in the Top 5. That's a record of Top 10 singles by a rock artist.

Also on the show will be Christian rockers Skillet, a four-band rock festival at Musikfest last year, and Buckcherry, who headlined the festival in 2011. Also playing will be Pop Evil, Escape The Fate, Redlight King, Three Years Hollow, Sons of Revelry, Tattered, These Raven Skies & Within Reason.

Tickets, at $27.50-$54.75, will go on sale at noon Friday, July 18, at http://www.mountairycasino.com or by phone at 877-682-4791.

The festival will be the fifth show announced for the annual series, with performances on an outdoor stage erected aside of the casino at 312 Woodland Road, Mount Pocono.

Godsmack, an alternative metal band, started its chart success with its self-titled 1998 debut album, which went four times platinum and produced four Top 10 Mainstream Rock hits. Its 2000 sophomore disc sold double platinum and produced the No. 1 hit "Awake." Since then, all of its albums have gone to No. 1. It has a new album, "1000hp," due out Aug. 5.

Godsmack headlined Sands Bethlehem Event Center in August.

It has had six No. 1 Mainstream Rock hits, including the gold "I Stand Alone" in 2002 and "Cryin' Like a Bitch" in 2010. Its latest single, "1000hp," released in June, peaked at No. 5.

The group has been nominated for four Grammy Awards.

Skillet's 2009 album "Awake" debuted at No. 2 on Billboard's albums chart and went platinum with the Top 5 platinum rock hit "Monster."

In all, Skillet has had eight songs that have hit the Top 40 on the general rock charts, including three that have hit the Top 10 and gone gold or platinum: "Monster," "Awake and Alive" and "Hero." On the Christian rock chart, 32 of its songs have gone Top 10, with 15 hitting No. 1.

In addition to "Awake," its previous album, 2006's "Comatose," also went gold. Both albums were nominated for Grammy Awards. Its most recent album, 2013's "Rise," peaked at No. 4 and topped the Christian chart. It produced three Top 30 songs, including "American Noise," which topped the Christian chart.

Rockers Buckcherry first hit with its 1999 self-titled debut and its hits "Lit Up," "Check Your Head" and "For The Movies." Its newest album, " Confessions," in 2013, peaked at No. 7 on the rock chart, and had the Top 30 rock chart hit "Gluttony."

The band had broken up 2000-05, but reformed with three new members to release 2006's "15," which gave the band the hits "Crazy Bitch" and its first Top 10, "Sorry," and its first platinum CD. "Black Butterfly," the band's 2008 follow-up, gave it its first Top 10 album.

The band was nominated for a Grammy award and has sold 2 million copies of its six albums.
