While much attention has been given to the circus that is the revolving panel of celebrity judges on “American Idol,” the show’s most recent winner has been quietly going about her business.

Season 12 champion Candice Glover has been on the post-“Idol” treadmill since winning the crown in May. Her coronation single, “I Am Beautiful,” peaked at No. 33 on the R&B chart. She spent her summer on the road for the show’s annual postseason trek.

As for her debut album? Well that’s not coming until 2014.

Glover announced she has postponed the release of "Music Speaks" from October to February.

Her debut was originally slated to arrive in July — just two months to the date of her “Idol” victory.

The ambitious move could have proved to be a bountiful marketing plan on the part of  “Idol” and 19 Recordings/Interscope Records.

“Idol” winners usually cut their disc during the summer tour that takes the finalists across the country. For many, the harsh reality is that the trek ends up being the last of their 15 minutes. What’s left of the public attention from the season shifts toward the winner’s coronation album that arrives in the fall.

Rushing Glover’s project showed signs that label brass wanted to avoid the same trap that befell many other "Idol" winners, who had lost their relevance by summer’s end. “I Am Beautiful,” though stunning, didn’t quite have the legs to carry it further and has yet to receive a follow-up.

For the album, Glover has teamed up with producers Harvey Mason Jr. (Beyoncé, Chris Brown, Justin Timberlake) and Jackie Boyz (Jennifer Lopez).

"I know it's taking a bit longer than expected to get my album out, but I have been working hard in the studio with some amazing people and I want to get it just right for you guys!" Glover said in a statement.

“Music Speaks” will arrive Feb. 18, a month into the 13th season of the singing competition.
