CBS’ “Under the Dome” took the top spot in Monday prime-time ratings, which helped the network win the night.
The show, based on the Stephen King novel about a small town trapped under a mysterious dome, drew 10.8 million viewers, up less than 1% from last week, and held steady with a 2.7 rating in the adult 18-49 demographic, according to preliminary numbers from Nielsen. A rating in the 18-49 demographic translates to 1.3 million viewers.
An average 6.7 million viewers tuned in to CBS on Monday night, besting the other networks overall and in the 18-49 category.
“The Bachelorette” on ABC came in second with 6.9 million viewers and a 1.9 in adults 18-49, helping the network score an average 5.7 million watchers for the night. “Mistress” slipped from last week to 3.8 million.
NBC’s “Siberia,” which airs against “Under the Dome,” attracted just 2.4 million viewers and also fell from the previous week. The network’s obstacle course competition “American Ninja Warrior” increased its viewership 10% to 5.4 million.
Survival show “Get Out Alive with Bear Grylls” dipped 7% from its premiere last week to score 3.7 million viewers.
Fox was in all repeats.
CW’s “iHeartRadio Pool Party,” featuring Ke$ha and Pitbull, squeaked out 732,000 viewers.
