'The Amazing Spider-Man'

Although Sam Raimi's trilogy starring Tobey Maguire as Spider-Man first hit theaters only 10 years ago, the franchise is already getting a reboot, this time led by director Marc Webb ("500 Days of Summer") and British actor Andrew Garfield ("The Social Network"). "The Amazing Spider-Man," set for a July 3, 2012, release date, <a href="http://herocomplex.latimes.com/2011/08/26/spider-man-star-andrew-garfield-on-fame-it-terrifies-me/" target="_blank">tells the story</a> of how plain old Peter Parker became the crime-fighting wall-crawler.
