BIRTHDAY GUY: Actor Jason Alexander was born in Newark, N.J., today in 1959. This birthday guy will be forever immortalized in TV lore as George Costanza from the hit comedy series "Seinfeld". He also won a 1989 Tony award for Best Leading Actor for his performance in the Broadway production of "Jerome Robbins' Broadway". He has recently lent his voice talents to animated series such as "Glenn Martin DDS," "American Dad" and "The Cleveland Show."

ARIES (March 21-April 19): On the first day of fall, you should be sure to give equal time to your day job and your love life. You are prone to running off in search of adventure or might meet unusual or unpredictable people.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20): During the equinox, you can prepare yourself for the winter ahead. This is a good time to plan for the harvest and to adapt to the changes ahead. By being flexible and adaptable, you can outwit the unpredictable.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20): Day and night are equal today. Use this inspiring thought to find ways devote equal time to industry and relaxation. It is entirely possible that you love what you do so much that you consider work fun.

CANCER (June 21-July 22): Rubbing shoulders with progressive people may broaden your horizons. Your electric personality might seem somewhat disruptive in certain situations, but people will tolerate your eccentricities.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22): Love tosses a coin; it could be heads or tails. Under these conditions you could meet your soul mate or lifetime friend, but you could just as easily meet someone who is here today and gone tomorrow.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): Lend a hand. You might need to step in to avert a catastrophe caused by someone's bad temper or a rush to judgment. A loved one may be excited about a new interest and spend too much.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): It is time again for the autumnal equinox. During this cycle, you experience a growing concern with your public standing. If trust does not exist between you and key players, your reputation could suffer.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): Remain objective. The red carpet may be thrown down, only to hide the cracks in the floor. You may meet people who greet you with open arms and enthusiasm, but who might have a hidden agenda.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): Your confidence in others may be misplaced. There are some people you can trust with your life and others that might turn out to be unpredictable. It is your job to learn to know the difference.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): Trust is not the same thing as truth. Emphasis might be placed on competition or change for change's sake under these celestial conditions. Be known for dependability and keep up your end of a bargain

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): You've got rhythm; who could ask for anything more? You are right in the swing of things and willing to welcome with open arms people from unusual backgrounds or divergent philosophies.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20): Celebrate the fall equinox by enjoying some new faces and places. Although you can be easily distracted and might be attracted to speed, danger, and risk, you can also embrace compassion and spirituality.

IF SEPTEMBER 23 IS YOUR BIRTHDAY: You can't get by on good looks alone. You possess great charm and wit, which attract others to you and make you the center of attention, but it is your business expertise that is emphasized for the next several weeks and will bring in the money. You shine like a beacon through February, but along with popularity comes some restlessness and an inability to settle down. Next June is the most fortunate period for you to make a decision about a relationship, to launch crucial plans or make any important commitment. That is when your luck changes for the better, when all your dreams may come true and a prayer may be answered.
