St. Patrick's Day 2012: Best Spots to Watch the New Haven Parade
The 5tth annual Greater New Haven St. Patrick's Day Parade, the largest spectator event in Connecticut, falls on Sunday, March 11 this year. Here are the best spots along the route to watch the Irish societies, bands from across the country, and 3,600 marchers make their way through New Haven.

The Route
The parade kicks off at 1:00 p.m. in New Haven, beginning on Chapel Street, heading toward Church Street, then turns onto Grove Street and ends on Orange Street. Parking is available in 36 different lots around the area, including free parking in all Yale University lots, aside from the restricted areas with red signs.
