Connecticut Beaches
Hot temps and sun-filled skies make for perfect beach days in Connecticut. Before you head out, check out our gallery for options. New this year, the the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) has set up Twitter accounts for some of the beaches, where they will update the status of parking lots and more so that patrons will not make the drive only to find the beach is full. The best beaches for CT residents are in RI.

I take it you've never been to Seaside Park or Pleasure Beach in Bridgeport, CT. Alot of those beaches have the worst sand and water to walk in with shells and rocks. They are also very small and not worthy of being called a beach. Try a mile long beach like Seaside Park and also an island beach like Please Island. Do some really discovery on CT beaches and you shall see that going down Route 2 is not the best part of CT for beaches.
