Hundreds of people came out to watch the annual Trees in the Rigging boat parade in Essex Sunday night, Dec. 1. Close to a dozen ships participated in the parade, which was the final event in an evening that began with a lantern-lit stroll down Main Street, caroling accompanied by the Sailing Master of 1812 Fife and Drum Corps, and a parade of antique cars.
