A raku fired pottery piece created by ceramicist Ashley Paskov of Bristol for sale at the Rockwell Park Summertime Festival Saturday. The multicolored finish of a raku firing is created by applying numerous chemicals to the piece before putting in in the kiln.

The city of Bristol celebrated the summer season on Saturday, Aug. 17, with its annual Summertime Festival in Rockwell Park. The day included live music, arts and crafts, a skateboarding competition, basketball and volleyball tournaments, children’s activities, and local food and business vendors.
